It isn't the heat...It's the humidity

So I have arrived safely home again from my trip to Louisiana. I had a great trip, I had so much fun. OH my gosh, is it HOT down there, THANK GOD for air conditioning. I never dreamed I would drive 13 hours for a weekend trip, I did and I have to say I would do it again so long as I got to go with Lillian and say "Hey" to her family again. Lillian's grandma is an amazing cook, I need to have her send me some recipes so I can try and reproduce those yummy cajun delights on my own. Lillian's mom and dad once again played host to me and we most gracious to open up their homes to allow me to stay with them. Mr. Magee took me on a tour of the prison he works at, Angola. I have never been on the grounds of a prison, but I have seen a few and I have never even dreamed one existed like this one. If I am going to break a law, I am going to break it in Louisiana. I got to meet up with my friend Jon while on this trip. I have not seen him in a while and don't get many chances to since he lives in Louisiana now. Lillian is a great roadtrip buddy, she will do her best to stay awake the whole time and to make sure you stay awake using any means necessary. It was just a fantastic trip all the way around. We got to stop and see Kari and Miranda in Mississippi while they are away serving in the mission field. I am so proud of all our summer missionaries. It is kinda sad now I think the Lillian's parents have spent more time with me that my own mom has in the past two weeks, but since her parents live 13 hours away I am sure that will change soon.
